You’ve got an hour to get out. Where do you start?
72 venues and 303 rooms across Detroit and Michigan, from heists and detective stories to horror and kid-friendly adventures. We won’t hand you the key, but we’ll show you which door to knock on.
A five-minute escape room next to the Awaken haunted attraction in Leslie: get out of Hank the barber's shop, where rumor has it customers keep 'accidentally' dying. It's for all ages and runs only on 2026 haunt nights.
A 44-acre Halloween haunt in Niles, next door to South Bend, where four five-minute horror escape rooms run on the Midway in 2026. Fast, frightening and just $5 a head.

5 minutes
$5 per person, minimum 4 tickets per reservation (tokens not accepted). Cash, Visa or MasterCard ($2 card fee).
No door opens with that combination. Loosen one of the dials!
Most places are booking-only, and weekend evenings fill up fast. The booking calendar shows which room is free when.
02
Private room or mixed group?
Some places may team you up with strangers unless you book the whole room. If you only want your own crew, look for a private booking.
03
Get there a little early
Most places run a short briefing first and ask you to sign a waiver. Arrive late and it usually comes out of your game time.
04
Don’t be shy about hints
The game master is watching and will give you a hint when you’re stuck. It doesn’t make the win smaller, just the mood better.
05
Kids or horror: check the rules
Age limits differ by venue and by room. We list what each venue publishes, but double-check on their own site before you go.
We collected these details from each venue’s own website, booking system and local press on September 26, 2026. Prices, rooms and hours change, so always check the venue’s site before you book.
