Spring Break For Kids: The Emperor & The Swan
Grand Rapids Ballet held their annual Spring Break For Kids event from Friday, April 10 to Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the Peter Martin Wege Theatre in Grand Rapids. The show combined the stories of The Emperor’s New Clothes and The Ugly Duckling through dance.
Every year, Grand Rapids Ballet hosts a special Spring Break program for families. In 2026, they presented The Emperor & The Swan, a new fractured fairy tale that mashes up the well-known tales of The Emperor’s New Clothes and The Ugly Duckling in dance form. The performances lasted three days at the Peter Martin Wege Theatre, offering a fun and imaginative experience for kids and their families.
