Community Joiner Fair – In Conversation with Priya Parker
The Grosse Pointe War Memorial hosts a community evening on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at The War Memorial in Grosse Pointe Farms: meet local clubs and nonprofits, plus a 6–7 p.m. keynote with Priya Parker and moderator Ann Delisi. If community-building is your thing, this is for you; separate registration required for the keynote.
The Community Joiner Fair is built for finding your people: from 5:30 to 8 p.m., connect with local clubs, nonprofits, and civic groups at The War Memorial. From 6 to 7 p.m., author and gathering expert Priya Parker sits down with WDET’s Ann Delisi for a keynote conversation. There’s also a screening of Join or Die, the documentary that inspired the series.
Separate registration is required for the keynote due to limited capacity. Presented in partnership by The War Memorial, Grosse Pointe Public Library, and The Family Center. Local inclusive nonprofits and clubs accepting new members can apply to host a table; space is limited and acceptance is at the committee’s discretion.
