The Old Man and the Old Moon
Wayne State University Theatre and Dance stages The Old Man and the Old Moon on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at the Hilberry Gateway in Detroit. Expect a sea-faring adventure with tempests, leviathans, cranky ghosts, and a tender pull between duty and love.
The Old Man has tended the moon for as long as he can remember. When a mysterious melody draws his wife away, he chooses to follow, trading routine for love and adventure. What unfolds is a storybook voyage packed with apocalyptic storms, civil wars, deep-sea beasts, cranky ghosts, and the toughest foe of all: change.
Presented by Wayne State University Theatre and Dance at the Hilberry Gateway. THE OLD MAN AND THE OLD MOON (LARGE CAST EDITION) is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals.
