Corey Harris & Cedric Watson: True Blues
Corey Harris and Cedric Watson brought their unique blend of Delta blues and Creole music to The Ark in Ann Arbor on Thursday, January 11, at 8 p.m. It was an evening of music and storytelling celebrating the living tradition of blues.
Corey Harris, a MacArthur fellow and accomplished guitarist and singer, teamed up with Cedric Watson, a four-time Grammy-nominated fiddler and accordionist known for Cajun and zydeco music, for the True Blues show. Corey has played alongside blues legends like B.B. King, while Cedric brought Louisiana’s rich Creole sounds to the stage. Together, they combined powerful performances and conversations about the history and culture of the blues, making for a captivating night at The Ark.
