Meadow Brook Hall is a National Historic Landmark, and for the holidays it fills with about 50 trees, flickering fireplaces and lights. You explore the 110-room estate on your own, from the Grand Ballroom to the Sun Porch. The walk takes about an hour and is open to all ages.

Tours start every half hour from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The hall closes daily from 4 to 5:30 p.m. to reset the tour route. The event runs rain, snow or shine, and parking is free in Lot 61. On Santa Saturdays (Nov. 29, Dec. 6, 13 and 20), your visit includes a stop with Santa.
