Holiday Walk: Santa Saturday

Meadow Brook Hall's holiday walk starts Saturday, November 28, at 10 a.m. at the historic mansion in Rochester, and this Saturday your visit includes a stop with Santa. It's a self-guided tour of the decorated rooms, a tradition for more than 50 years.

Meadow Brook Hall's Holiday Walk has led visitors through the mansion's decorated rooms for over 50 years. The National Historic Landmark sits on the Oakland University campus in Rochester. You tour at your own pace in about an hour: some 50 trees, flickering fireplaces and plenty of lights across the 110-room estate, from the Grand Ballroom to the Sun Porch.

On Santa Saturdays, the visit also includes time with Santa. Tours start every half hour from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It runs rain, snow or shine, and parking is free in Lot 61. The hall closes daily from 4 to 5:30 p.m. to reset the route. All ages are welcome, and it works for a family outing or a date.
