Frontier Ruckus Concert at The Ark
Frontier Ruckus played on Saturday, April 13, at 8 p.m. at The Ark in Ann Arbor. They brought songs from their new album On the Northline, which richly depict the details of Midwestern suburban life.
Since their 2008 debut, Frontier Ruckus has been painting a vivid picture of Midwestern suburban life through Matthew Milia’s detailed lyrics. Instrumentalists David Jones and Zachary Nichols add colorful layers that have gained the band fans across the US and Europe. Their latest album On the Northline, released in 2024, showcases their intricate orchestral folk-pop style alongside Milia’s poetic takes on everyday and sacred moments. The night was opened by Premium Rat, a singer-songwriter with punk edges.
