Holiday Walk has been a Meadow Brook tradition for over 50 years. The mansion, a National Historic Landmark on the Oakland University campus in Rochester, is decked out for the season. The self-guided tour takes about an hour through the 110-room estate, from the Grand Ballroom to the Sun Porch, with some 50 trees, flickering fireplaces and lights everywhere.

Tours start every 30 minutes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The hall closes from 4 to 5:30 p.m. daily to reset the route between shows. It runs rain, snow or shine, and parking is free onsite in Lot 61. Santa visits only on the Saturdays in the schedule, so this Tuesday is all about the walk itself.
