Holiday Walk is a tradition going back more than 50 years: a self-guided indoor stroll through Meadow Brook Hall, the National Historic Landmark mansion on the Oakland University campus. Expect around 50 trees, flickering fireplaces and lots of lights, from the Grand Ballroom to the Sun Porch.

The walk takes about an hour and is open to all ages. Matilda Dodge Wilson built the Tudor-revival house between 1926 and 1929. Start times run every 30 minutes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It goes on rain, snow or shine, and parking is free in Lot 61. The hall closes from 4 to 5:30 p.m. to reset the tour route.
