Holiday Walk has been a Meadow Brook Hall tradition for more than 50 years. The Tudor-revival mansion is a National Historic Landmark, and you tour it on your own in about an hour. Expect some 50 decorated trees, flickering fireplaces and lights throughout the 110-room estate, from the Grand Ballroom to the Sun Porch.

Tours start every half hour from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The hall closes daily from 4 to 5:30 p.m. to reset the tour route. The event goes on rain, snow or shine, and parking is free onsite in Lot 61. It works for a date or a family outing.
