You wander the grounds past one-of-a-kind light displays, and you can add a tour of part of the decked-out interior of Meadow Brook Hall. Expect music, seasonal and specialty drinks, selfie stations, bonfires and food trucks.

It goes on rain, snow or shine. Parking is free and a shuttle runs during the event. Entry times are every half hour from 6 to 8 p.m.: 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30 and 8:00. Meadow Brook closes daily from 4 to 5:30 p.m. to reset the tour route.

The Hall was the home of Matilda Dodge Wilson, built from 1926 to 1929, and is one of America's finest Tudor-revival buildings and a National Historic Landmark.
