Bela Fleck “My Bluegrass Heart”
Bela Fleck, a 16-time Grammy winner, toured his new bluegrass album My Bluegrass Heart on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 7 p.m. at the Royal Oak Music Theatre in Royal Oak. His band features top-notch Grammy-winning bluegrass players.
Bela Fleck has earned 16 Grammys across genres but always returns to his bluegrass roots. His album My Bluegrass Heart is the third part of a trilogy that started with 1988’s Drive and continued with The Bluegrass Sessions in 1991. On this 24-year-later bluegrass tour, Fleck’s band included standout players like fiddler Michael Cleveland, mandolin virtuoso Sierra Hull, multi-instrumentalist Justin Moses, bassist Mark Schatz, and guitarist Bryan Sutton. They brought a deep, multi-generational bluegrass sound to Royal Oak’s stage.
