VOICES featuring Ki5 and Marqu3tte
On Friday, April 26, 2024, Ann Arbor's loop artist Ki5 held a captivating concert at The Ark, sharing the stage with Detroit's Neo-Rock artist Marqu3tte. The evening blended soulful R&B and pop with innovative vocal looping.
Kyler Wilkins, known as Ki5, brought his signature loop station magic to The Ark, delivering unique renditions of R&B, pop, and soul songs. Joined by vocalist Aviva Match for a few tracks, their combined vocals created a rich, heartfelt performance. Detroit's Marqu3tte added a fresh sound by mixing Soul, Rock, and Pop in what some call Neo-Rock. The VOICES concert series, created by Ki5, aims to increase representation of Michigan BIPOC artists and audiences, featuring conversations with performers about their musical journeys. Tickets were $20.
