Twelfth Night – Michigan Tech Theatre
Michigan Tech Theatre stages Shakespeare's Twelfth Night at McArdle Theatre in Houghton on Wednesday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m. It's a modern, multimedia take loaded with UP and MTU inside jokes, running nightly through April 17.
Love, mistaken identities and practical jokes that go a bit too far: one of Shakespeare's great rom-coms, reworked for today's audiences with plenty of local nods to the U.P. and Michigan Tech. Nich Radcliffe adapted and directed it.
Performances run Wednesday through Saturday, April 14-17, at 7:30 p.m. each night, with seating starting at 7. Seats are general admission, and the show runs about 2 hours including intermission. Tickets are Pay As You're Able, with a $20 full fee, at the Rozsa Box Office or online. Michigan Tech students can get rush tickets with their university login. Content guidance: grief, 17th-century gender and identity roles, bawdy humor, intoxication, and some psychological teasing and bullying with mild violence.
