Delta 88 Concert at The Ark
Indie folk/rock band Delta 88 from Ann Arbor played at The Ark on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 8 p.m. Their songs range from dark barroom ballads to anthemic cries, with Rachel Lynn, former member of The Hummingbirds, opening the show.
Delta 88’s music feels like an American hymn, blending diverse influences into a unique sound reminiscent of haunted mountain spirituals through a distortion pedal. With four studio albums, including one produced by Grammy-winner Joe Henry, they continue exploring the new American songbook. They've performed across the U.S., Canada, and Europe alongside acts like Ralph Stanley and Emmylou Harris.
