Joan Belgrave at Cliff Bell’s

Joan Belgrave is a powerful singer, composer, and concert producer known internationally and as a key member of the Motown Legends gospel choir. Her performance mixed jazz, blues, and soul, accompanied by Ibrahim Jones on bass, Alex White on drums, and Ian Finkelstein on piano. Fresh from shows at Wynton Marsalis’s Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola in New York and a tribute concert for her late husband Marcus Belgrave in Philadelphia, Joan expressed her happiness to be back in Detroit. The show at Cliff Bell’s was full of vibrant energy and swing, delivering a memorable night for everyone attending.
