James O’Donnell CD Release Party
Eastside Detroit’s own trumpet player James O’Donnell held his holiday jazz album launch on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at 8 p.m. at Cliff Bell’s, with tickets priced at $10.
James O’Donnell, a protégé of trumpeter Russell Green, toured worldwide from New York City and Mexico City to the Caribbean and European rivieras, even leading cruise ship bands. Back in Detroit, he’s known for his original trumpet style and charming vocals. For the holidays, he gathered a collection of jazz songs on a new album, which he released at this show at Cliff Bell’s.
