Voices featuring Kenyatta Rashon and Gwenyth Hayes
Kenyatta Rashon and Gwenyth Hayes performed at The Ark in Ann Arbor on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 8 p.m. This was part of Voices, a series highlighting Michigan BIPOC artists with music and artist stories.
Gwenyth Hayes is a bassist, vocalist, and songwriter from Ann Arbor known for blending classic tunes with soulful covers and original songs, all centered on her sultry vocals and groove-driven bass lines. Kenyatta Rashon, from Ypsilanti, started in musical theater at 16 and has grown into a hip hop and R&B artist who performed with Kanye West’s Sunday Service in Detroit. Voices, created by Kyler Wilkins at The Ark, gives these artists a platform not only to perform but to share their journeys, helping audiences connect deeper with their stories.
