50 First Jokes
On Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 8 p.m., 50 local comics gathered at The Ark in Ann Arbor to share their first jokes of the new year in a fast-paced and fresh comedy night.
The 50 First Jokes tradition started almost two decades ago in Brooklyn and later gained popularity in Los Angeles. Now it returned to Ann Arbor! Fifty emerging and seasoned comics came together to kick off the 2025 comedy season with their very first jokes written for the year. The show was fast, fresh, funny, and affordable.
Comedy fans got to hear a wide range of voices and maybe discover new favorites during this lively event at The Ark’s stage.
