Blind Pilot
Blind Pilot played a show at The Ark in Ann Arbor on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 8 p.m. The Oregon folk/indie-rock band performed songs from their new album In the Shadow of the Holy Mountain at the upstairs venue, accessible only by stairs due to an out-of-service elevator.
After an eight-year gap, Blind Pilot returned with a fresh album born from a creative crisis and renewal. Frontman Israel Nebeker wrote the entire album in a month, embracing spontaneity and collaboration within the band. Produced by Josh Kaufman, the album radiates fresh energy and showcases the band’s strong chemistry in live, dynamic arrangements. Attendees climbed stairs to reach the second-floor venue since the elevator was under repair, joining an intimate yet powerful folk/indie-rock experience.
