Justin Roberts & The Not Ready For Naptime Players
Justin Roberts, a five-time GRAMMY nominee and pioneer of modern family music, played at The Ark in Ann Arbor on Saturday, May 3, at 11 a.m. The show was supported by Ford Philanthropy, with tickets priced at $20 and $15 for kids 12 and under.
Justin Roberts is known for clever, catchy family songs that invite comparisons to Elvis Costello and Paul Simon rather than typical nursery rhymes. Traveling the world with his band, The Not Ready For Naptime Players, he blends power pop with kid-friendly themes. His latest album, Space Cadet, reflects his experience as a new dad, while spring 2025 marked the release of his 17th album, Brain Freeze. The performance emphasized inclusion and gave kids a chance to celebrate their uniqueness through dance.
