Phillip-Michael Scales
Phillip-Michael Scales played a show on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 8 p.m. at The Ark in Ann Arbor. He performed songs from his album Good to Be Here, a record about struggle, determination, and building a dream.
After honing his craft with 308 gigs in Chicago in 2018 and gaining traction in Nashville, Phillip-Michael Scales built his career through hard work and self-management. His album Good to Be Here channels the gritty soul of the Stax era, mixing fun moments with themes like love and reclaiming confidence. He brought this energy to The Ark stage in Ann Arbor for a night of heartfelt and lively music.
