The RFD Boys Concert
The RFD Boys, Michigan bluegrass legends, played on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 8 p.m. at The Ark in Ann Arbor. This 50-year-old band still delivers fresh, lively traditional bluegrass and sharp, well-timed humor.
Since 1969, The RFD Boys have delighted Michigan audiences with their excellent musicianship and cleverly timed between-song jokes. More than bluegrass legends, their songs have been recorded by the Country Gentlemen, and they've shared the stage with greats like Bill Monroe and Ralph Stanley. They are a vital part of Ann Arbor's music scene, embodying deep roots and rich tradition. Since 2018, Dan Roehrig has joined the band, adding guitar, mandolin, and bass to their sound. The Ark hosted the show, with tickets priced at $16, with discounts for students, seniors, and members.
