Boxing Banjo
Boxing Banjo, one of Ireland's top traditional music groups, played at The Ark in Ann Arbor on Tuesday, August 5, at 8 p.m. Brothers Darragh and Mícheál Healy and their band brought an energetic show backed by multiple Irish and world championship titles.
Hailing from Ireland’s west coast, Boxing Banjo quickly earned high regard in the traditional music scene. The group features brothers Darragh and Mícheál Healy alongside Joseph McNulty and Cillian King. Together, they hold over 20 Irish championship titles across various instruments and singing, plus four world bodhrán titles. Since debuting in the U.S. in 2019, they’ve built a dedicated fan base with live shows praised by the Irish Echo as “complete naturals on stage,” delivering a lively, feel-good vibe that gets everyone singing and dancing.
