Shawn Phillips Concert

Shawn Phillips taught Joni Mitchell her first guitar techniques and gave George Harrison his first sitar lessons. He wrote the music for Donovan’s "Season Of The Witch" and has played with Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood. He has produced 27 albums and has stayed true to his artistic independence in the commercial music industry. At his concert, he recreated the sound of an entire symphony orchestra in real time, all solo, closely matching the albums. The Ark showed how music is not just a historic memory but a living, evolving art.
