Fruit Bats Solo
Eric D. Johnson of Fruit Bats played a solo show on Monday, October 27 at 8 p.m. at The Ark in Ann Arbor, spotlighting songs from his new Baby Man album with just guitar, banjo, and piano.
Grammy-nominated songwriter Eric D. Johnson, known for leading Fruit Bats, presented songs from his latest album Baby Man, which marks a distinct shift in his sound. The solo performance featured mostly just Johnson with occasional synthesizer touches, backed by producer Thom Monahan for the first time since 2019's Gold Past Life. It was an intimate setting focused on Johnson and the audience sharing a raw musical experience.
