Great Lake Swimmers Concert
The Canadian indie-folk band Great Lake Swimmers, led by Tony Dekker, played an acoustic show on Thursday, November 20, at 8 p.m. at The Ark in Ann Arbor. Their atmospheric Americana and folk sound made them stand out that night.
Great Lake Swimmers brought their blend of acoustic instruments, rural soundscapes, and wistful vocals to The Ark stage in Ann Arbor. Fronted by Tony Dekker, they combine homespun folk with lush Americana vibes. This show came around the release of their 2025 album, Caught Light, which channels early ’70s folk-pop warmth with a fresh spontaneity in songwriting. It was a rare chance to catch their intimate yet critically acclaimed sound live. Tickets were $29 and available in advance through The Ark.
