Matt Watroba Concert
Matt Watroba, a staple of Michigan folk music, performed on Friday, November 28 at 8 p.m. at The Ark in Ann Arbor. Joined by a large group of fellow musicians, he led a community sing-along with part of the proceeds benefiting a local artists' self-defense program.
Known for his dedication to American folk and roots music, Matt Watroba has been a key voice in Michigan's folk scene through his radio shows and live performances. This event was more than a concert—it was a community gathering featuring a choir of dozens of Michigan musicians led by Matt himself. A portion of the night's proceeds supported P.O.W.E.R., an organization providing free self-defense and situational awareness training to vulnerable artists and musicians across Michigan.
