Duke Tumatoe Concert
Duke Tumatoe, a self-taught Chicago blues master, played on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 8 p.m. at The Ark in Ann Arbor, showcasing his unique, humorous blues tunes live.
William “Bill” Severen Fiorio, known as Duke Tumatoe, is a blues legend who has performed with icons like Muddy Waters and B.B. King. His 1988 album “I Like My Job,” produced by John Fogerty, highlights his career. Drawing inspiration from Chicago blues greats, his guitar style blends B.B. King and Jimi Hendrix influences, with witty lyrics adding a twist. This showed strongly in his performance at The Ark in Ann Arbor.
