The Steel Wheels at The Ark in Ann Arbor
Virginia-based folk-rock band The Steel Wheels played at The Ark in Ann Arbor on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 8 p.m. The show highlighted songs from their latest album about resilience and survival.
The Steel Wheels have spent nearly twenty years crafting their evolving blend of American roots music while founding and hosting the Red Wing Roots Music Festival. Their newest record, Sideways, reflects on loss and facing the unknown through the songwriting of Trent Wagler. Their Ann Arbor performance brought this rich, emotional sound to life for the audience.
