Jeff Cuny Trio
Jeff Cuny, an accomplished string bassist, played with his trio on Friday, September 13 at 5:30 p.m. at Cliff Bell’s in Detroit. Catch the bassist behind Planet D Nonet and co-leader of Beartrap live!
Jeff Cuny is not only a fine string bassist but also the chief arranger and bassist for the Planet D Nonet. On this gig, he performed with David Dunham on guitar and David Alvarez III on drums. Together, they lead the collective band Beartrap, making for a tight-knit trio that brought their sound to Cliff Bell’s. The show had no cover charge, so it was an easy way to spend an evening enjoying some jazz in Detroit.
