WHFR Benefit
WHFR radio held a benefit concert on Sunday, November 17, at 7 p.m. at Cliff Bell’s in Detroit, featuring Dave Hurley and other local musicians. The artists came together in support of the station and its unique mix of less-heard music.
WHFR offers alternative variety programming in the Detroit area, focusing on genres rarely heard on other stations, including alternative rock, jazz, hip hop, and classical music. The benefit featured performances by Dave Hurley & Outer Nebula Trio with Rafael, Statin Skeeter Shelton & Ali Allen Colding Duo, Michael Malis’ Explorations Ensemble, and Planetary Citizenship. Organized by WHFR staff, the event raised funds to support the station's continuing mission.
