Vance Gilbert Concert
Vance Gilbert, acoustic singer-songwriter from Philadelphia, played at The Ark in Ann Arbor on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. His folk and Americana style shines on his latest album featuring Grammy and Juno winners.
Vance Gilbert grew up around Philadelphia, initially aiming to be an R&B and jazz singer before embracing acoustic storytelling songs. After touring as a special guest with Shawn Colvin in 1992, he gained a nationwide following. In recent years, he was the preferred opener for Paul Reiser's stand-up shows while keeping busy with his own tours and music coaching.
His latest album, "The Mother Of Trouble," features Grammy winner Lori McKenna, Juno winner Joey Landreth, and mandolinist Joe K. Walsh. Tickets were $29 online including processing fees, but you could also buy them in person at The Ark without extra charges.
