The Real Inspector Hound - Michigan Tech Theatre
"The Real Inspector Hound" is a witty spoof of Agatha Christie-style mysteries, featuring feuding theatre critics Moon and Birdboot who become entangled in the very whodunit they are watching. The comedic and thrilling plot explores themes of fate, free will, a missing first-string critic's body found beneath a sofa, and a dangerous escaped madman.
This fast-paced comedy offers a sharp and humorous take on classic mystery melodramas, incorporating distinctly Stoppardian reflections on fate and free will. Moon and Birdboot, two feuding theatre critics, find themselves embroiled in a lethal mystery at the remote Muldoon Manor after discovering the body of the missing foremost critic under a sofa. The production is presented through an arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Dramatists Play Service.
