“Ponyboi” Screening
The GR Trans Foundation screened “Ponyboi” at AMC Grand Rapids 18 on Wednesday, December 3, at 7 p.m. in Grand Rapids. This is the first feature film written by and starring an out intersex artist, telling the story of an intersex sex worker on the run.
“Ponyboi” is a raw, bold film about identity, survival, and chosen family. The story follows a young intersex sex worker who has to escape the mob after a drug deal goes wrong, confronting his past. River Gallo and Indya Moore star and helped create the film.
Proceeds from this screening supported the GR Trans Foundation. The film is rated R for strong sexual content, nudity, drug use, pervasive language, and some violence, so it’s not recommended for children. Attendees received limited-edition stickers at the event.
