“Cheers, Queers!” LGBTQIA+ Social Event

“Cheers, Queers!” brought together Grand Rapids’ trans and queer community for a welcoming social hour sponsored by GR Trans Foundation and GR Pride Center. It was a great chance to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones in an inclusive space.

Held at an alcohol-free venue, Lotus Brew Dry Bar offered a full mocktail menu, coffee, and pastries for purchase, but no buying was required to attend. The event was open to those 18 and older, while the venue itself welcomed all ages. Accessibility included ramp access, though the pavement was somewhat uneven, with assistance available upon request.

Transportation options included nearby bike racks, a bus stop within a minute’s walk, and free street parking after 7 p.m. Attendees could bring their own food but were encouraged to support the venue by purchasing drinks.
