“Cheers, Queers!” An LGBTQIA+ Social Event
“Cheers, Queers!” was a casual meet & greet for West Michigan’s Trans & Queer Community, held Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lotus Brew Coffee / Dry Bar in Grand Rapids, organized by GR Trans Foundation to reconnect friends and make new ones.
“Cheers, Queers!” brought together West Michigan’s Trans & Queer folks in a welcoming space at Lotus Brew Coffee / Dry Bar. The venue offered a full dry bar with mocktails, vegan brownies, and other drinks, supporting accessibility with ramp access, all-gender restrooms, bike racks, and nearby public transit. Attendees aged 18 and up could come solo or with friends. The event was free and designed as a chill spot to hang out and connect within the community.
