Kasan Belgrave Residency and Session at Cliff Bell’s
Detroit native and multi-woodwind player Kasan Belgrave performed on Wednesday, September 25, at 7:30 p.m. at Cliff Bell’s. The event showcased his roots in Detroit’s traditional and modern music scene through his personal musical heritage.
Kasan Belgrave is deeply connected to Detroit’s music community, following in the footsteps of his late trumpeter father, Marcus Belgrave. Early in his career, he collaborated with legends like Aretha Franklin, Wynton Marsalis, and Dee Bridgewater. He studied under top mentors at University of Michigan and Michigan State University while staying active in Detroit's vibrant techno community. The event at Cliff Bell’s featured two showtimes at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. Musicians were admitted free if they brought their instruments.
