Kasan Belgrave Residency and Session
Detroit native and multi-woodwind player Kasan Belgrave played at Cliff Bell’s on Wednesday, November 20, starting at 7:30 p.m. He honored his city’s music legacy and his own rich performance history during a special evening.
Kasan Belgrave, a prominent figure in Detroit's music scene and multi-woodwind instrumentalist, held a memorable night at Cliff Bell’s. Following in the footsteps of his late father, trumpeter Marcus Belgrave, he passed on Detroit’s musical heritage to the younger generation. He has worked with legends like Aretha Franklin and Wynton Marsalis, and also connects deeply with Detroit’s techno community. The event featured two showtimes, at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., with early guests able to enjoy dinner beforehand. Musicians who brought their instruments were admitted free of charge.
