Brad Fritcher’s MOODS
Brad Fritcher’s MOODS played at Cliff Bell’s in Detroit on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. Their mix of modern psychedelic jazz with Motown and other styles created a unique sound that night.
Brad Fritcher’s MOODS, his longest-running project, debuted in Detroit at Cliff Bell’s. Brad, finishing his Jazz Studies degree at Wayne State University, is crafting a new chapter for MOODS, blending psychedelic progressions with bebop, Motown, folk melodies, indie rock’s melancholy sway, and DnB rhythms. The band thrives on spontaneous composition and bold improvisation, combining lo-fi DnB beats, jazz nuances, and psychedelic soundscapes.
MOODS pays homage to the great Black American music influences while defying genre labels, delivering an adventurous and emotional sonic journey in an intimate club setting.
