Andre Wright Group
Andre Wright Group played two shows on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Cliff Bell’s in Detroit. Wright, a Toledo native drummer, brings the vibrant feel of his church roots to the stage.
Starting drums at age 10 in the St. James Church of God in Christ in Toledo, Andre Wright absorbed influences from gospel legends like Andre Crouch and Thomas Whitfield. The March 2 concert at Cliff Bell’s captured that foot-stomping jazz-driven energy with two performances opening at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Doors opened at 4 p.m. for dinner seating before showtime.
