Ben Sharkey at Cliff Bell’s
Ben Sharkey, a top live performer from Detroit, played at Cliff Bell’s on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. His show blended hip, soulful jazz and pop with his own colorful flair.
Ben Sharkey has been a Detroit favorite for over a decade. His live shows mix old-school cool with contemporary jazz, soul, and pop styles to make something fresh and unique. Since posting raw home videos of himself singing Michael Bublé and Frank Sinatra classics on YouTube in 2007, he’s gained over five million views. He’s been a regular at spots like Cliff Bell’s and had a long residency at the MGM Grand’s Axis Lounge. Alongside pianist Chris Codish, Ben writes clever songs about love, life’s joys, and passion, delivered with rich rhythms spanning jazz, pop, swing, R&B, Latin, and modern dance beats. The performance combined a modern edge with classic charm.
