Chicago Farmer is Cody Diekhoff, whose songs follow in the footsteps of Woody Guthrie with personal and populist stories drawn from real lives. Influenced by John Prine and Arlo Guthrie, he delivers earnest, lively folk music that speaks to working-class experiences. The evening opened with Erin Zindle, bringing a fresh mix of folk-rock and global sounds, with her soulful voice and skillful fiddle playing. Attendees needed proof of COVID-19 vaccination to enter, and tickets were $20.
