San Fermin at The Ark
Brooklyn's San Fermin played a show at The Ark in Ann Arbor on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at 7:30 p.m. Known for their modern chamber pop sound fused with electronic pop and experimental rock, they brought a diverse palette of music, with Pearla opening the night.
San Fermin is the brainchild of Ellis Ludwig-Leone, a composer with classical training who collaborated with avant-garde composer Nico Muhly. Since their 2013 debut, they've blended styles ranging from electronic pop to experimental rock to create distinctive modern chamber pop. Their show at The Ark featured Pearla, whose mix of folk, pop, and psychedelia added a warm yet slightly edgy vibe. Attendees were required to show proof of vaccination and follow local health protocols during the event.
