Matt Mathews
Comedian and singer-songwriter Matt Mathews adds a second show on Saturday, October 24, at 10:30 p.m. at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mount Pleasant. He blew up online with his farm chore videos and now headlines a national tour.
Matt Mathews grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. During the pandemic his farm chore videos took off and drew more than 12 million followers. He did his first stand-up set in 2022 and was headlining his own shows within months. His Boujee On A Budget Tour has sold more than 150,000 tickets.
His comedy comes straight from his life: farmer, barrel racer, photographer, proud Alabamian and LGBTQ+ voice. He also makes music, and is working on a debut album with country and folk roots. Early songs include "What a War" and "Joke's On Me."
The 10:30 p.m. show was added because the first one drew such demand. It's scheduled to wrap up around 11:55 p.m.
