Corn Potato String Band
The Corn Potato String Band played traditional American fiddle and banjo music at The Ark in Ann Arbor on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 8 p.m. Their multi-instrumental tunes and harmonies brought old-time styles to life, with ticket sales supporting the artists.
The Corn Potato String Band keeps alive the old fiddle and banjo music of the Central and Southern US with an authentic, multi-instrumental approach. The band members, outcasts in today's world, survive by playing the classic tunes of their flatland roots. Their performance at The Ark in Ann Arbor featured lively fiddle tunes, twin fiddling, double banjo pieces, ballads, ho-downs, country rags, and southern gospel. Attending required proof of vaccination due to COVID-19 policies. While tickets cost $20, the concert was also streamed for free on The Ark’s Facebook Live and YouTube channels, where viewers could tip the artists.
