Ron English and the Crew at Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe

Guitarist and composer Ron English has been central to Detroit’s creative music community for decades. The Ron English Crew, formerly known as “the Tuesday Crew,” was a favorite at Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe even before the pandemic. Ron’s musical style draws from jazz, Broadway, gospel, and Motown, aiming to move the body, engage the mind, reflect emotions, and stir the spirit. The multi-generational band includes a drummer, bassists, saxophonist, and pianist. On April 25, they played a mix of audience favorites and introduced new compositions.
