Wesley Reynoso Quintet
Pianist Wesley Reynoso and his quintet played two sets on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at the Blue LLama Jazz Club in Ann Arbor. Having collaborated with salsa and jazz legends, he brought a vibrant Latin jazz performance to the stage.
Wesley Reynoso, born in the Dominican Republic, studied music in Puerto Rico, France, New York, and Detroit. His career includes performances with salsa stars like Alfredo De La Fe and jazz greats such as James Carter. On this night, his stylish and deeply nuanced Latin jazz piano was at the forefront at Ann Arbor's Blue LLama Jazz Club. The quintet featured Rafael Leafar on saxophones, Jeff Pedraz on bass, Jonathan Ovalle on drums, and an as-yet unnamed percussionist.
