Goldings/Bernstein/Stewart Organ Trio
Larry Goldings, Peter Bernstein, and Bill Stewart's organ trio played on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 7 p.m. at the Blue LLama Jazz Club in Ann Arbor. Their decades-long collaboration has reshaped the organ trio sound live on stage.
This trio, together for over 30 years, features Larry Goldings on Hammond organ, Peter Bernstein on guitar, and Bill Stewart on drums. Praised by The New York Times in the mid-90s as the best organ trio of the decade, they explore fresh jazz territory with thoughtful originals and standards. Their latest album, Toy Tunes, received four stars in Downbeat for its nuanced take on organ trio conventions, offering an atmospheric vibe rather than party tunes. The show took place at the Blue LLama Jazz Club, with ticket and table options available through the venue.
